Publication Ethic

In carrying out the publication process, Tevunah sets ethical standards for editors, reviewers, and authors. Publication ethics essentially upholds ethics in three values, namely 1) Neutral, free from conflicts of interest in journal management. 2) Justice gives rights to those who are entitled to authorship as writers. 3) Honesty, free from plagiarism.

Publication Ethics for Editors

  • In deciding which articles are worthy of publication, Editors should pay attention to the applicable provisions regarding publication, including copyright infringement and plagiarism.
  • Editors must ensure that the process of reviewing, accepting, and publishing articles is based on the principle of equality: not discriminating against the author's race, gender, ethnicity, nationality, or ideology.
  • The editor must ensure that the review of articles is carried out using a double-blind review system to ensure objectivity.
  • Editors must have systems in place to manage conflicts of interest between staff, authors, reviewers, and members of the editorial team.
  • Editors should provide guidance to members of the Editorial Team and Reviewers on what is expected of them.
  • Editors will not use unpublished articles for personal gain.

Publication Ethics for Reviewers

  • Reviewers should review articles objectively with clear arguments.
  • Reviewers should assist authors in improving the quality of their articles with constructive and timely suggestions.
  • Reviewers should declare any potential conflicts of interest between themselves and certain articles or authors.
  • Reviewers must respect the confidentiality of the information or content of the articles reviewed.
  • If the Reviewers consider that the article assigned to them is not in accordance with their area of expertise and does not have sufficient time to conduct a review, then they should notify the editor and withdraw from the review process.
  • Reviewers will not use reviewed article material for personal gain.

Publication Ethics for Authors

  • Authors should state that the articles they submit are their own work and have not been or are not being considered for publication in other media.
  • Authors should properly quote content from other sources to avoid plagiarism.
  • Authors should ensure that their contributions are not libelous or infringe on the copyright or intellectual property rights of others.
  • The list of authors must accurately reflect who conducted the research and wrote the articles, and the order of authors must be determined jointly by all authors
  • All authors should know that their work is submitted to a journal for publication on their behalf.
  • If a passage in an article overlaps with a certain part of another author's article published in another media, the author must acknowledge it and cite it.
  • If available, the source of funding must be listed in the manuscript on the acknowledgment form.
  • The author must notify the Editor or Publisher of any significant errors in the published portion and cooperate with the editor to issue an error, addendum or retraction if necessary.
